BPBD Handles Inundation as Rain Pouring Jakarta

Heavy rain that poured Jakarta and its surrounding on Wednesday (9/25) afternoon caused inundation in several areas.

We're targeting the inundation areas to recede quickly

Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling (BPBD) mentioned one RT in Lubang Buaya Urban Village, East Jakarta is still inundated by 90 cm up to 6 PM due to water channel overflow.

Two roads are still inundated namely Jalan Raya Ciledug in Kebayoran Lama and Jalan Kemang Utara IX by 25 cm.

BPBD Improves Rescue Capabilities with Internationally Certified Training

Jakarta BPBD Implementer Head, Isnawa Adji, admitted the inundation handling has been done quickly and efficient.

"Our personnel also cooperate with Water Resource Agency, Bina Marga Agency, and Fire Handling and Rescue Agency to monitor the inundation," Isnawa said.

"We're targeting the inundation areas to recede quickly," he added.

Jakarta BPBD appealed the residents to remain vigilant and careful for further flooding potential. Please contact 112 for emergency situation or need help. The service operates 24 hours.

"BPBD hopes the impact of inundation can be minimized through good cooperation between community and related parties," he hoped.
